Kael Driscoll is a librarian and musician from Boorloo/Perth. Kael DJs under the name DJKL, makes ambient esoterica as Solar Cell Kid for his label Stellar Beams, and is a presenter on the radio show Ambient Zone on RTRFM 92.1. The AZ crew also host DJ evenings at Astral Weeks every couple of months, showcasing eclectic vinyl from across the ambient spectrum.

This mix was recorded live at Astral Weeks on a rainy evening in the seasonal transition from Makuru to Djilba. Most of the tracks are actually much longer pieces, with Kael using excerpts and extended blending techniques to create a sonic tapestry of imaginary spaces. The idea of starting and finishing with the same composition creates a loop of circular logic that ends where it begins, floating forever in the void.
